The Camino Frances begins in St Jean Pied de Port in the Pyrenees. More than 100,000 people walk this route every year with it having great trail signposts making it very difficult to get lost and tricky terrain is at a minimum.

The Camino Frances takes around a month on foot and it passes through famous towns such as Pamplona, Burgos and Leon. Although walking this route in the medieval times was likely to get you a mugging or even killed, today the route is extremely safe and many choose to walk the path alone.
