One 'Footestep' at a Time: Reflections on Walking the Camino and Beyond

Interested in some first hand accounts from people who have really walked the Camino de Santiago?

Beth Foote, an Episcopal Priest from the San Francisco Bay Area, is no stranger to the Camino de Santiago. In her popular blog, ‘One Footestep At a Time’ Beth details all three of her pilgrimages along the Camino.

The priest first hiked the Camino in 2013 from St Jean Pied de Port, however had to cut the walk short due to ankle issues. Undeterred, she returned that October to Leon and arrived at the cathedral later the same month. She then returned once again in 2015 to complete the Burgos to Leon stretch that she had initially missed.

Beth’s blog is a great insight into the spaces where spirituality and personal discomfort meet when one has determination. The priest shares her wisdom learned along the way as well as reflections of the journey and Camino de Santiago-related book reviews.
